Mastering shadow, flame, and demonic powers they a very powerful class. Warlocks hurl bolts of shadow or fire at their will to the opposing enemy as well as summoning demons to their bidding. The have de-buffers and curses that work well with the abilities of the entire group. Warlocks can easily be considered the best de-buffers in the game. The can also crowd control using their Succubus’s spell Seduction or banishing demons, and provide support in the form of their health stones or soul stones.

How to Become a Marauder?
If you are interested in becoming a Marauder, make sure you read the following post on how to obtain this status! http://www.tenebraecor.org/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?35006
A few tips for becoming a Candidate:
- Know your class! Do your homework (or check with us on some class mechanics)! Are you glyph properly? Are you speced properly? There are 3-4 viable spec for raiding, do you understand what they are? Can you execute?
- Know your gap! Is your under-performance related to gear or spell rotation? If it is gear related, do you have an updated gear wishlist posted? Have you check the sparses and figure out why another lock seems to do better then you?
- Be active, both in game and out of game. When you dig up some useful information, did you share it with everyone?
In short, you will never get your Marauder Status if you do these ...
- Do not understand the class mechanics!
- Excessive decrease in availability, performance, participation, execution, or SA
- Failure to show up when drafted (this is a case by case basis. It is your responsibility to actively communicate changes in your schedule by posting to the shout box, normal post, or updating your comments on the raid sign-up site)
- Failure to meet posting deadlines by the Raid Office
- Poor Attitude
- Poor guild conduct
Addons
Required:
- BigWigs or similar. (CTRA and La Vendetta are other options.)
- Mod must be able to help identify situations during boss fights. Examples: Void Reaver's Arcane Orbs. Also helps identify timers on Gruul and other bosses to get you where you need to be.
- Available from www.wowace.com. Alternatives available from sites such as www.curse.com.
- oRA2 or similar. (CTRA handles ready checks, durability checks, etc.)
- oRA2 is better, especially for our situation. CTRA has raid frames included. If you don't need raid frames, you certainly don't need CTRA running any extra processes. oRA2 also shows time remaining on ready checks and is all around pretty easy to use. These both also offer Main Tank targets, which are very useful--especially for Assisting (either to acquire a Banish target or just to continue DPS).
- Available from www.wowace.com.
- Omen. (KTM is a possibility, but Omen is better.)
- Threat Meter. Blizzard claims they're going to add one of their own, but until then, you should have this. It's always good to know when you're approaching critical threat and should Soul Shatter or slow down.
- Available from www.wowace.com.
Very much recommended:
- ForteXorcist.
- Similar to DoTimer but more versatile and have more functionality. It monitors your DoT times and when the next ticks will occur. It also monitor buffs, debuffs, cooldowns for you. Along with Quartz, you will be able to efficiently monitor your casts and refresh your DoTs with minimal efforts.
- Available from www.curse.com.
- Quartz.
- A cast bar enhancement. Your spells actually finish casting before your game says they do, due to latency. This mod estimates the server's finishing time and displays it on a new casting bar to allow you to "cancel" the cast with the spell still going off. This allows early recasting and additional DPS. Requires use of a "/stopcast /cast Shadow Bolt" macro, and other similar macros.
- Available from www.wowace.com.
- DoTimer.
- Monitors your DoT times to help you keep them ticking constantly. Especially for an Affliction Warlock, this is a great resource. It keeps all the timers in a neat, easy to read display and tracks for multiple mobs as well.
- Available from http://www.curse.com.
- RR_BanishTimer.
- Okay, so I wrote it, that's no reason not to get it! Displays a list of everyone's Soulstone duration and target, as well as whether or not it has been used. Also lists separately all Warlocks' Banish time remaining. Not required, but good to have. Also, please don't spam the raid or channel. If you notice another person has their broadcast options active in a particular channel, we don't need 3 others as well--work out whose timer will broadcast. :)
- Available from elayneff.wowinterface.com.
